Green smoothie

This is my go-to smoothie – it’s fast and delicious. I don’t pretend to be a green juice drinking uber healthy raw kinda person, so this yummy easy green drink is my way of starting the day on the right foot. 

Simply put all the ingredients in a blender and then drink it. The mason jar obviously makes it far more healthy than simply putting it in a glass ;)

  • ½ an avocado
  • 2 big handfuls of baby spinach
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1.5 cup almond milk
  • 1 tbsp of agave nectar
  • A pinch of Himalayan sea salt
  • 1 tbsp lemon

And a note to by diabetic friends – I don’t bother carb counting anything apart from the agave nectar which is 15g. and because I usually have this when I am on the go and moving lots I only bolus for half the total carbs.
