I am passionate about yoga and I love sharing this practice with my students. My energy and devotion to teaching shine through in my classes.
Classes are punctuated by laughter and smiles as we play with making shapes with our bodies and simply let the yoga work its magic.
I advocate personal autonomy and choice in all my classes - my aim is to empower students to own their practice. Options and modifications are offered for all levels to allow everyone to tailor the practice to their body and needs on any given day.
I teach creatively sequenced classes that are designed to open and strengthen the body. Within classes there is a balance between rhythmic flow to build heat and connect back to the breath, and time to breakdown the more challenging asanas in fun and accessible to ways, which is an amazing way to focus back on the present moment.
In a nutshell, I teach strong, accessible, and alignment based yoga. I encourage all my students to find the balance between playful practice and deeper inward reflection. Expect a blend of light hearted humour, precise cues, and breath lead movement.
I took my first yoga class in 2004 and immediately sensed this was the way for me to live a far more connected, present, and happier life. It wasn’t all plain sailing, when I started I was stiff, weak and desperately self-conscious. But this planted a seed and, slowly over the years, I have become completely hooked. I explored various styles of yoga as I was learning but ultimately it was Vinyasa Flow that stole my heart!
I had been working in the financial PR industry for 8 years before I finally took the plunge and trained to teach with triyoga under the expert tutelage of Mimi Kuo-Deemer and Jean Hall. Before leaving London I had the pleasure to teach Vinyasa Flow, Triyoga Hot, Pregnancy and Mum & Baby yoga at some of London’s pre-eminent yoga studios (triyoga, Good Vibes, and Yoga West amongst others).
I have continued my training with leading teachers including, Katy Appleton (pre & postnatal yoga teacher training with appleyoga) and Kristen Campbell (Tapasya Hot Yoga Teacher Training at triyoga UK)
